Wine and Distillers Yeast
We produce several different yeast strains for wine fermentations.
Product Description
These products are specific selected active dry yeasts. The strains are of the species Saccharomyces cerevisiae or S. bayanus. These pure culture yeasts are selected, propagated and dried for yeast fermentations including the production of sparkling wines. Packed in the presence of an inert gas.
Licensed pursuant to current legal regulations. Tested for purity and quality according to the requirements stipulated in the German Wine Law.
The yeast strains are selected under the aspect of quick fermentation start, a clean fermentation and a complete final fermentation. Besides, it has been the aim of the selection to obtain yeasts which scarely tend to the formation of foam. Some strains are selected for ethanol tolerance or for special fermentation temperatures.
